MSEA CEO Mr. Henry Rithaa, joined by Board Directors Mr. Anthony Mwangi and Mr. John Kihonge, held a key meeting with Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs Development Dr. Wycliffe A. Oparanya, EGH to discuss the operationalization of MSEA’s cold storage facilities.
The facilities, part of a Kes. 300 million investment spanning Kisii and Nyandarua Counties represent a landmark commitment to transforming agricultural value chains for smallholder farmers and rural entrepreneurs. Designed to tackle post-harvest losses, support potato and banana farming, and create sustainable employment, the three projects are poised to advance value addition and market linkages for farmers along the two value chains.
This investment is a testament to the Government’s commitment to building practical, lasting solutions for MSMEs in the agricultural sector, and a decisive step toward food security, rural economic growth, and inclusive prosperity for Kenya’s farming communities.
