ELSIE THAMBU- HEAD OF FINANCE

Ms. Elsie Thambu is a distinguished Finance Specialist, Certified Public Accountant and  Tax Administration Professional with over 15 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, budgeting, and statutory compliance.

She currently serves as the Head of Finance.

Elsie holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from United States International University Africa (USIU-A), a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance & Banking) from Moi University, and an Advanced Diploma in Tax Administration from the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KESRA). She is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and an active member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Her career spans both public and private sectors, with impactful roles in health, real estate, and microfinance.

Beyond her technical expertise, Elsie has played a pivotal role in shaping financial policy frameworks within MSEA, particularly in areas of donor-funded project governance, tax compliance, and public sector accountability. Elsie is a quiet force for empowerment—mentoring young professionals, supporting financial literacy initiatives, and championing inclusive economic participation for micro and small enterprises.
