Ms. Marsela Tumo is a seasoned Human Resource Management professional with over fourteen years of progressive experience in both the private and public sectors. She currently serves as the Head of Human Resource Management at the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA), where she leads strategic HR initiatives that drive organizational excellence, staff engagement, and institutional growth.
She holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from the Presbyterian University of East Africa (PUEA), a Postgraduate Diploma from the College of Human Resource Management, and a Diploma in Business Management from the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). She is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K) and a practicing member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Throughout her career, Ms. Tumo has risen through the ranks, demonstrating exceptional skill in strategic workforce planning, talent management, performance systems design, and employee relations. She has played a key role in formulating and implementing Human Resource Policies and structures that strengthen compliance, enhance staff motivation, and improve organizational efficiency.
Beyond her professional duties, Ms. Tumo is passionate about community service, notably in youth mentorship and mental wellness advocacy, reflecting her belief in holistic development and people-centered leadership.
