
ELIZABETH NKUKUU, CFA – DEPUTY DIRECTOR, CAPACITY BUILDING
Elizabeth Nkukuu is a seasoned investment, financial inclusion and enterprise development professional with over 20 years of experience spanning capital markets, fund management, entrepreneurship development, financial literacy and institutional capacity building.
She serves as the Deputy Director – Capacity Building at the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA), where she drives initiatives aimed at strengthening MSME capabilities, enhancing enterprise competitiveness and supporting sustainable business growth.
Prior to joining MSEA, Elizabeth served as the founding Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Inclusion Fund (Hustler Fund), where she led the establishment and operationalisation of a national financial inclusion programme focused on expanding access to affordable credit and empowering millions of Kenyans.
She is also the Founder and Team Lead of Zurit Consulting, a financial literacy and capacity-building platform focused on equipping individuals, entrepreneurs and institutions with the knowledge and tools required to make better financial decisions, build wealth and achieve long-term sustainability.
Elizabeth is an author passionate about simplifying money conversations and empowering people to take control of their financial journeys. Through her books, including Thrive and Transcend – Navigating the Realities Beyond the Allure of Entrepreneurship, she shares practical lessons on personal finance, entrepreneurship and sustainable success.
Previously, she held senior investment leadership roles including Chief Investment Officer at Cytonn Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at Britam Asset Managers, where she led investment strategy, portfolio management and financial product development.
Elizabeth is a CFA Charterholder, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), and holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Nairobi.
She is passionate about building financially empowered individuals, sustainable enterprises and inclusive economic growth.
