In preparation for the upcoming international MSME exhibition to be held on June 26-27, 2024 in Uasin Gishu County, MSEA North Rift regional office in collaboration with the County Government of Eldoret hosted over 75 MSMEs and exhibitors for capacity building training on exploring maximum benefits during international exhibitions.

The event’s theme will be “MSME Role in a Green Technologically Competitive Future.” Present during the meeting include public and private sector stakeholders such as the Uasin Gishu County Government, represented by the Chief Officer for Trade, Family Bank, Kenya Power North Rift Regional Manager, Rivatex Sales and Marketing Manager, Kerio Valley Development Authority (KVDA), Stima Sacco, and the Shangwe Jua Kali Association.
The exhibition aims to provide market access opportunities for MSMEs and includes a tree planting exercise. The theme for the meeting was dubbed, “Unlocking the Potential of Exhibitions’’. It highlighted the benefits acquired by entrepreneurs in participating in the exhibitions which creates opportunity for striking business deals, customer service management, business etiquette and stocking enough products for sale.

This meeting is one of the build-up events towards sensitization and mobilization for participation in the upcoming EAC MSME Trade Fair in Juba, South Sudan to be held later in the year. A proposal was presented to make the exhibition t an annual event that brings on board other counties across the region.
