Registration and Formalization of MSES

The registration of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) is transitioning from the MSEA domain to the eCitizen platform. This change aims to streamline the registration process, making it more efficient and accessible for entrepreneurs and stakeholders. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to register an association on the eCitizen platform.

Step-by-Step Guide to Register an Association on eCitize

  1. Sign-Up & Sign-In

Sign in with your credentials

2. Access the Dashboard

  • Once signed in, search for “MSEA" in the eCitizen dashboard.
  • Select the service you wish to apply for from the list provided.

3. Name Search & Registration

    • Applicant Details: Fill in your personal details as required by the system.
    • Proposed Names: Enter the proposed names for your association. The system will automatically check for prohibited or reserved names to ensure compliance.
    • Objectives: Define the objectives of your association.
    • Registered Office Details: Provide the address and contact information of the registered office.
    • Officials Details: Enter the details of the association's officials, including the chairperson, secretary, and treasurer.
    • Member Details: List the members of the association with their respective details.

4. Uploads and Declaration

    • Upload the necessary documents as prompted by the system.
    • Complete the declaration form and ensure all information is accurate.

5. Payment

    • Proceed to the payment section. The fees are as follows:
      • Name Search and registration of Micro and Small Enterprises: KES 150
      • Name Search and registration of MSE Association: KES 550

6. Receipts, Forms, & Certificates

After completing the payment, you will receive:

    • A receipt of payment
    • A signed application form
    • A search certificate
    • A registration certificate

7. Application Dashboard

    • You can track the status of your application on your dashboard. It provides a list of applications completed, services to apply for, and applications that need correction.
